Curtis R. McLain

Mr. Curtis R. McLain, age 75 “Entered into Rest” on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock, CA. He was born in Norman, Oklahoma and has lived in Turlock for 40 years and he was employed by the Housing Authority of Stanislaus County as a Property Manager for 20 years. Mr. McLain was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Turlock Knights of Columbus of All Saints Catholic Church of Turlock and Peace Corp Volunteer in the Dominican Republic. He enjoyed reading books, gardening, landscaping and spending time with family. Mr. McLain is survived by his wife of 27 years, Elena McLain of Turlock; Daughter – Sarah Mclain Martins and her husband Paul of Oakdale, CA; Two Sons – Daniel Lam of Coalinga, CA and Michael Lam of California; Brother – Anthony “Tony” Broughton of Redding, CA; Two Sisters – Teresa McLain of Washington and Deanna Broughton of Redding; Three Grandchildren – Adam, Elena & Clare Martins of Oakdale; He was preceded in death by: His Parents – Felix and Dorothy McLain.

Services: Visitation – Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. both to be held at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 W. Main St., Turlock. Funeral Mass – Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons Ave., Turlock. Interment – Private.
