Daniel B. Fernandes

Mr. Daniel Bairos Fernandes was 71 years old and passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in his house in Atwater, California. He had lived in Atwater for 27 years also was a native of Santa Barbara, Island of Santa Maria, Azores.

Daniel is survived by his wife of 46 years Filomena Fernandes of Atwater, 2 Sons- Daniel Fernandes and his wife Christina, Walter Fernandes and his wife Stefanie and his Grandchild Dylan Fernandes, all of Atwater, California. 6 Brothers- Jose Fernades and Armando Fernandes both of Lisbon, Antonio Fernandes and Joao Felipe Fernandes both of Massachusetts, Jose Maria Fernandes and Eduardo Fernandes both of Canada. 2 Sisters- Maria Sousa and Helena Leandres, both of Massachusetts.

Mr. Fernandes is preceded in death by his Parents- Manuel & Ana Fernandes, and his Brother- Manuel Fernandes. He was a devoted parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Buhach Rd. and Saint Anthony Catholic Church both of Atwater, and was a member of “Casa dos Açôres” of Hilmar, and “Lira Açoriana of Livingston”.

Services: Visitation- 2:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday November 25, 2016 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 West Main St., Turlock, California.

Combined Service of Rosary and Funeral Mass- 10:00 AM, Saturday November 26 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 2988 Buhach Rd., Atwater, California. Mr. Daniel Bairos Fernandes will be laid to rest at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock, California.
