Diamantina R. Barcelos

Mrs. Diamantina Machado Barcelos, age 79 “Entered into Rest” on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at her Son’s Residence in Turlock. She was born in Porto Judeu, de Baixo,Terceira, Azores and has lived in Turlock for 42 years. Mrs. Diamantina Machado Barcelos was a homemaker, a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and P.F.S.A. (Portuguese Fraternal Society of America) Fraternal Co. #38 of Modesto. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and trips to the casino. Mrs. Barcelos is survived by: Three Sons – João P. Machado and his wife Lucy Machado of Turlock, Luis A. Machado and his wife Maria Machado of Turlock and Jorge Machado and wife Maria Correia of Porto Judeu de Baixo, Terceira, Azores; Daughter – Lucy Fatima Machado of Turlock; Daughter-in-Law – Guilhermina Machado of Porto Judeu de Baixo, Terceira, Azores; Fifteen Grandchildren, Twelve Great Grandchildren and Two Great-Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: Two Husbands – João Machado in 1962 and Jose Barcelos in 1994, Son – Antonio Machado on August 21, 2001, Four Sisters and One Brother.

Services: Visitation – Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 W. Main St., Turlock, CA. A combined service of Rosary and Funeral Mass on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons Ave., Turlock. Entombment will follow the Funeral Mass at Turlock Memorial Park Mausoleum, 575 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock, CA.
