Evangelina S. Mancebo, age 91, of Santa Clara, California passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021 in Santa Clara, California surrounded by her three daughters. She was born November 22, 1929 in Biscoitos, Terceira, Açores to Josephina Sousa and Jose M. Sousa.
Evangelina is survived by her three daughters: Connie D. Soares (Al) of Marina, California, Evangie Pierce (Ted) of San Jose, California, and Palmira "Pam" Soares of Santa Clara, California; daughter-in-law Dorothie Durate. Evangelina has eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren to honor her memory.
Evangelina loved to take care of her husband Manuel and her children. She loved cooking, playing cards, crocheting with her friends, and making her delicious sweet bread. For the holidays she would make her famous fruit cake and give it to all of her friends.
Evangelina was preceded in death by: husband Manuel Mancebo; her son Joe J. Duarte; her father Jose M. Sousa; and her mother Josephina Sousa.
Private services will be held as requested by Evanglina S. Mancebo. She will be laid to rest at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery in Santa Clara, California.
Services for Evangelina S. Mancebo are in the care of Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service (FD 504) in Turlock, California.
