Fatima M. Silva, age 92, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026. She was born on January 11, 1934, in Feteira, Terceira, Azores, Portugal, where she was raised before marrying the love of her life and beginning a new chapter in the United States.
Fatima was a woman of deep faith, unwavering devotion, and quiet strength. A lifelong and dedicated member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, she faithfully served her parish in countless ways. She participated in Eucharistic Adoration, helped clean and care for the church, and was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever she was needed. Her Catholic faith was the foundation of her life, and she found great joy and peace in attending Mass and reading her missalettes.

She treasured the festas and traditions that connected her to her Portuguese roots and shared that heritage with everyone around her.
Known for her intelligence, kindness, and generous heart, Fatima loved preparing meals for family and friends, expressing her love through the food she cooked. She enjoyed crocheting beautiful blankets, reading her missalettes, and spending time in prayer. Her life was one of quiet service, faith, and love.
Above all else, Fatima devoted herself to caring for her husband and their son. Her family was the center of her world, and she dedicated her life to their well-being. The loss of her beloved son was a sorrow she carried for the rest of her life, but through her faith she continued to live with grace, resilience, and compassion.
She and her husband cherished visiting family in Willis, Riverbank and Turlock, creating lasting memories with those they loved.
