He married Maria and started their family. In 1968 the family immigrated to the United States and settled in the city of Hilmar.They have 9 children. Joe worked in the dairy business for many years.
Survived by his wife Maria Faria of 60 years, sons Joe Faria of San Jose, Manuel Faria, Tony Faria, Luis Faria, John Faria all of Hilmar, Carlos Faria, Eddie Faria of Turlock; Daughters Maria Connie Faria of Hilmar, Cathy Silva of Turlock and sister Maria Rosa of San Jose, 16 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Interment follow the Mass to Turlock Memorial Park Mausoleum.
