Joe Brasil Rodrigues

Joe Brasil Rodrigues, age 80, of Turlock, California passed away surrounded by his family, at his home on Saturday, February 19, 2022. José was born March 12, 1941 in Ribeira Seca, Açores, to Isabel Brasil Teixeira and João Teixeira Rodrigues.

Joe is survived by his spouse of 45 years, Maria C. Rodrigues of Turlock; his son Steve Rodrigues (Elizabeth) of Turlock; and his son David Rodrigues (Debbie) of Modesto; his brothers; João T. Rodrigues of Modesto, Alvaro Rodrigues (Leontina) of Tracy, Luis Rodrigues (Frances) of Stockton and his sister Maria de Lourdes Rodrigues of Terceira Açores; Joe is also survived by four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews in the Açores and California. Joe leaves behind his granddaughter Sadie Elizabeth Rodrigues to honor his memory.

Joe was preceded in death by his father João Teixeira Rodrigues and his mother Isabel Brasil Teixeira; his three brothers Arlindo Teixeira, Antonio Teixeira and Tiberio Rodrigues; his sister Laura Rodrigues and his sister-in-law Theresa Teixeira.

A visitation for Joe will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 West Main, Turlock, CA 95380.

A recitation of the rosary followed by funeral mass will occur Friday, March 4, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church- Lyons Ave., 1200 Lyons Avenue, Turlock, CA 95380.

A commital service will occur Friday, March 4, 2022.
