John Pereira Inacio, age 79, of Modesto, California passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Golden Age Home Care in Modesto. John was born August 22, 1942, in Biscoitos, Terceira, Açores to Mary P. Inacio and Manuel M. Inacio.
John is survived by his wife of 22 years, Maria Inacio of Modesto; his brother Manuel Inacio (Zoraida) of Dos Palos, his brother Frank Inacio (Lena) of Turlock, his sister Mary Godinho of Mississauga, Canada, his sister Aurora Day of Modesto and his sister Rita Inacio of Turlock; his stepchildren Enos Silveira (Sherri) of Idaho, Inez Rex (Dean Strazi) of Turlock, Isaura Bettencourt (Raymond) of Modesto, Helen Martins (Mario) of Newman and Tony Silveira (Gloria) of Modesto. John is also survived by his step grandchildren, Bobby Welborn, Billy Welborn, Andrea Silveira, Katie Bettencourt, Johnny Bettencourt, Marina Bettencourt, Kassandra Carpenter, Dillon Martins, Austin Martins, Matthew Martins; his two great step grandchildren Paisley and Easton Martins. John also leaves behind ten nieces and nephews, twenty great nieces and nephews and two great great nieces to honor his memory.
John was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary C. Inacio, and his parents Manuel M. Inacio and Mary P. Inacio.
John was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Modesto; he was past President of the Festa Our Lady of Fatima, P.F.S.A Council of Modesto, Thornton, CA, MPPA of Modesto, CA and FDES of Patterson, CA.
A visitation for John will be held Monday, February 28, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California.
A recitation of the Rosary followed by Funeral Mass will occur Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 9:30 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1813 Oakdale Road, Modesto, California.
A committal service will occur Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at St Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, 1141 Scenic Drive, Modesto, California.
Serving, as pallbearers are Bobby Welborn, Billy Welborn, Johnny Bettencourt, Dillon Martins, Austin Martins, Matthew Martins, Frank Inacio Jr., Manuel J. Inacio, Manuel Silveira III, Joseph Day, Edward Day and Maurice Moniz.
