Jose Vitorino Avila was peacefully called to the Lord on Monday, February 10, 2014, with the love of his family surrounding him. Jose was born in Calheta, São Jorge, Azores on November 3, 1946 to Jose & Rosa Avila.He is survived by his wife Maria Natalia Avila of Atwater, CA. 2 Sons; Dario Avila and his wife Desiree of Atwater, and Cesar José Avila and his wife Stacie of Sanger, CA. 2- Brothers; Antonio Avila of Atwater, Manuel Avila of Hughson, CA. Mother-in-Law, Adelia Avila of Atwater. 4 Grandchildren; Carli Avila, Taylor Avila, Kaylynn Avila and Ian Avila. Several brothers-in-Law, Sisters-in-Law, Nieces and Nephews. Mr. Avila was preceded in death by his parents; Jose Avila & Rosa Silveira, and brother Helio Avila. Jose Vitorino Avila was a Past-President for Atwater Pentecost Association, Our Lady of Miracles of Gustine, and was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church of Atwater, and P.F.S.A. Council # 31 of Merced, CA.

Combined Service of Rosary and Mass; 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Saint Anthony Catholic Church, 1799 Winton Way, Atwater, CA. Burial Following the Mass to Winton Cemetery District, 7651 Almond St., Winton, CA.
