Jose De Jesus Tapia Rodriguez, lovingly known as “Chuchy,” and many other nicknames that show just how cared for he was, passed away leaving behind close friends who will never forget him and family who is saddened they will not get to know him.

Jesus was truly one of a kind. He had a huge heart and lived life his own way. If you knew Chuchy, chances are you have a story or memory of him that still makes you smile or laugh. To many of his friends, Chuchy wasn’t just a friend, he was family, a part of their every day lives.

He faced his share of battles and hardships throughout his life, but he never let them take away his love for life. You never heard that man complain about the hand life had dealt him or the paths he himself chose. Instead, he made the best of what he had, enjoyed life however he could, laughed, joked, and kept going. That was Chuchy. No matter what he was going through, he still found a reason to smile and enjoy another day.

Chuchy touched more lives than he probably ever knew. He will be deeply missed by his friends and the family who wishes they could have had more time with him.

Rest easy, Chuchy. You were loved, you mattered, and you will never be forgotten.
