Jose Eutimio Jordao

On November 22, 2013, the most incredible man went home to heaven. Jose was born September 7, 1940, to Jose and Julia Jordao in Ribeira Seca, Sao Jorge, Acores. In 1967, following in his grandfather’s footsteps, he came to the United States to earn money to take back to S. Jorge, where he would marry his love, Serafina Borba.

After getting married, in 1968, he came back to California and started his new life. After only one year of working for others, he bought his own dairy cows and rented a dairy in Newman, CA. A short time later, their only child, a son, was born. In 1975, he moved to Modesto CA, where he purchased his first dairy farm. He was a dairyman there for 22 years surrounded by some of the best neighbors anyone could ask for. In 1997 the business moved to its current location on Central Ave., in Turlock.

For 24 years I worked side by side with my dad. Together, with the help of my mom and later, my wife, the dairy expanded. I was blessed to be able to give him three grandchildren which, he loved more than life itself.

I realize I have some incredible, big shoes to fill. Because of how he raised me, I’m more than up for the challenge. Now I look to my own son, and look forward to passing on the life lessons that dad taught me. You will be greatly missed but never forgotten, and I promise to continue your dream.

Jose is survived by his wife, Serafina, his son, Joe Jordao (Cindy) and three grandchildren, Taylor, Devin, and Makenzie, his brother Pedro Jordao (Laura) Gustine, sisters, Alice Amaral(Antonio)Turlock, Ernestina Avila (Jose) Ribeira Seca, S. Jorge, Acores, Judite Jordao Gustine, Maria Fatima Silveira (Pedro) Turlock, sister-in-law Beatriz Jordao Ribeira Seca, S. Jorge Acores.

Jose was preceded in death by his parents Jose and Julia Jordao and brother Ernesto Jordao.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 26, 2013- 11:00AM-4:00PM. at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, Turlock

Rosary on Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at 7:00PM at Our Lady of Assumption, Turlock.

Funeral on Wednesday, November 27, at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Assumption, Turlock.
