Luis is survived by: his wife of 59 years, Maria Albertina Vieira of Turlock; daughter Filomena Bettencourt of Turlock; son John Vieira of Terceira; son Luis Vieira of Merced; son Mario Vieira of Modesto; and sister Elvira Vieira of Terceira. Mr. Vieira also leaves behind ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren to honor his memory.
He was preceded in death by his son Helio Vieira as well as his parents Maria Rafael and Manuel Vieira.
Luis was a dedicated parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Turlock and St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Los Banos.
A visitation for Mr. Luis Vieira will be held from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service: 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California. A recitation of the rosary followed by a funeral mass will occur at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church: 2602 S. Walnut Road, Turlock, California. He will be laid to rest after the services at Los Banos Cemetery: 16575 Center Avenue, Los Banos, California.
Serving as pallbearers are Mario Vieira, Michael Vieira, John "V" Bettencourt, Alyssa Vieira, Amanda Vieira, Jordan Bettencourt, Thomas Franzese, and Honorary Angel Pallbearer Helio Vieira.
Services for Mr. Vieira are under the care of Whitehust-Norton-Dias Funeral Service (FD504) in Turlock, California.
