 My father's death was a shock, completely unexpected.  I know that he would have been pleased to see the large number of fine people that gathered to remember him.  His close family, extended family, and his Foster Farms family, and neighbors and friends.  So many had humorous and heartwarming stories to share. It was a privilege to be a part of it.

I wish to thank the Rhodes side of my family and Maria's family for being so welcoming to me.  You all made me feel at home, it truly warmed my heart.  Some of you I had never met before, it was a privilege. 

I inherited from my father his sense of humor, a love of the outdoors and animals, and a love of cars.  There are probably some inherited traits that are less desirable as well, but we won't mention those. His memory and traits will live on in the lives of his three children.  I know he was proud of all of us.

My best wishes go out to Maria, Albert, Keith and Laura as well all the grandchildren. He loved all of you.

I met Lyn when I went to work at Foster Farms in1979.  He is one of the best people I’ve ever known.  The world is diminished by his leaving.  💐

I am so sorry to lose Lyn. We got to be good friends at Foster Farms and continued that friendship for 45 years. We both loved hot rods, boats and motorcycles. We did a couple of bike trips to Nevada back in the day.  He always helped me a lot at the plant to keep things together and do my job better.
I will never forget him, and will always keep him in my heart.

I appreciate the great people that attended my dad's services. The funeral home people were great to us in this time of sorrow.I had this man in my world my entire life and shared many moments with him.my dad never forgot anyone, and if he did he would make sure to let that person know he was sorry and that it was not his intent.my dad loved his daughter,Redona and still would talk about her from time to time.my mother and brother and I never had issues with anybody from my dad's previous marriage, and certainly not with Redona.these last couple days being around Redona and visiting with her have been nice and she was always welcome with open arms to be around us at anytime.my dad was always a big strong man that could do anything and build anything.my dad's sudden passing has came as a big shock to us and many of his friends, so if I forgot to mention a name that is my fault and no one elses.my mom and dad were together for over 50 years and we had a great family....now my mother is alone for the first time in over 50 years and I believe that is something that is more important than a person trying to stir up issues about my father.my dad has no blame for forgetting to put more names in his obituary,  at this moment my brother and I are focused on trying to help my mother keep focused on life and what's next after she has lost her husband of more than half a century. 

Death has a sting like no other. We are sorry for your loss. I never had the privilege of meeting Lyn or his second family. But I am eternally grateful for the kind hearted & amazing daughter he produced. Redona has always been a true friend to me & I’m saddened by what she’s missed out on.   Truly wish you all the best & may we all live life without regrets

I am very sorry for the Rhodes family's loss.   My sympathies to all. Especially  Maria and sons. 
I believe however in your grief you left one name out of the list of close family.  Lyn has a daughter as well as  2 boys.  Redona Rae Rhodes Benson.  I'm sure she would want to be remembered.
