Manuel D. Fontes

Manuel is survived by: his wife of 45 years, Maria Fontes of Hilmar; daughter Anabel Ughe (Steve) of Escalon; son Cesar Fontes (Marta) of Hilmar; son Michael Fontes (Leslie) of Ripon; son Carlos Fontes (Stephanie) of Gustine; sister Alvarina Sousa of Ceres; sister Oulalia Fontes of Terceira, Acores; and his ten grandchildren: Makayla Fontes, Jenevieve Fontes, Evelyn Fontes, Mario Ughe, Madison Fontes, Mikey Fontes, Mason Fontes, Maddex Fontes, Carson Fontes, and Carley Fontes. Mr. Fontes also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews to honor his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents João Fontes and Maria Isabel da Silva, two brothers, and a sister.

There will be a visitation for Mr. Manuel D. Fontes from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service: 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California. A recitation of the rosary followed by a funeral mass will occur at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church: 2602 S. Walnut Road, Turlock, California. He will be laid to rest after the services at Turlock Memorial Park: 575 N. Soderquist Road, Turlock, California.
