Maria Christina Arrizon

Mrs. Maria Christina Arrizón, age 90 of Modesto, CA “Entered into Rest” on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson, CA with her family by her side. She was born in Los Angeles, CA and has lived in Modesto for 41 years and was a homemaker for 60 years as well as a cannery seasonal worker. Mrs. Arrizón enjoyed traveling the U.S. and Europe, crossword puzzles, water color painting, crocheting, and playing cards especially a game called “Malia”, and most of all spending time with her family. Together with her late husband Enrique Arrizón that passed away on 12/3/2003, they had 15 Children: Alba Vanbeukhout of Belgium, Enrique Arrizón of Vista, CA, Oswaldo Arrizón of San Jose, CA, Mario Arrizón of Modesto, CA, Arturo Arrizón of Tijuana, Mexico, Ismael Arrizón of Tijuana, Mexico, Angela Arrizón of Turlock, CA, Cristina Correa of Modesto, CA, Patricia Arrizón of San Diego, CA, Norma Jauregui of Chula Vista, CA, Miguel A. Arrizón of Mission Hills, CA, Anna M. Melendez of Antioch, CA, Fernando O. Arrizón of San Andreas, CA, Juan Carlos Arrizón of Chula Vista, CA and the oldest child, Jose Felix Arrizón passed away on 07/10/2003. She is also survived by: Sister – Angela Caviglia of Tucson, AZ; 33 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren.

Services: Visitation – Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., both at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 W. Main St., Turlock. Funeral Mass – Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 2602 S. Walnut Rd., Turlock, CA following by Interment at Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson.
