Maria is survived by her husband of 58 years, Francisco Borges Aurora of Hilmar; her son Davide José Aurora (Nelia) of Angra, Terceira Açores ; her sister Maria do Natal Sousa FreitasVila de São Sebastião, Terceira Açores.
Maria was preceded in death by her father Jose A. Silva and her mother Maria Jose Alves.
Maria was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hilmar.
A visitation for Maria will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 West Main, Turlock, CA 95380.
A recitation of the rosary followed by funeral mass will occur Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 8471 Cypress Street, Hilmar, CA 95324.
A committal service for Maria will be held at North Hilmar Cemetery 8744 N. Tegner Road, Hilmar, CA, 95324 following the funeral mass.
