She was born in Ribeira Seca, Sao Jorge, Azores. She was a homemaker for 44 years and a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church of Turlock.

Husband- Carlos L. Machado of Hilmar,California, Son, Dom Jose Degoberto de Silva of Connecticut.
Brothers- Isalino Gomes of Massachusetts, Austino Rosa and Joao Rosa both of Ribeira Seca, Sao Jorge, Azores.
Sisters- Idalina Gomes of Ribeira Seca, Sao Jorge, Azores and Herondina Gomes Rosa of Faja dos Vimes, Sao Jorge, Azores, 3-Grandchildren and 1-Great-Grandchild.
Visitation, 2:00PM-8:00PM, Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Chapel with a Vigil and Rosary at 7:30PM.
Mass of the Resurection,10:00AM, Monday, April 4, 2011 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church.
Christian Burial will be at Sunnyside Cemetery, Stevinson, CA,
Service under direction of Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Service.
