Maria Clotilde Mendes

Mrs. Maria Clotilde Barcelos Mendes, age 84 “Entered into Rest” on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Elness Convalescent Hospital in Turlock, California. Mrs. Mendes was born in Santa Bárbara, Terceira, Azores and she was a homemaker for 45 years. She is survived by Brother Jose Barcelos and his wife Nair Barcelos of Santa Bárbara, Terceira, Azores, sister-in-laws – Maria Lina Mendes and Maria de Fátima Mendes of Santa Bárbara, Terceira, Azores, Paulina Mendes of Tulare, CA and Hortência Penninella of Pleasanton, CA, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Leonardo and Lúcia Mendes of Los Banos and four godchildren – Lina Vieira, Goretti Pareira, Sandra Domingos and João Santos and Caregiver Celina M. Moles of Hilmar. Preceded in death by her husband António Pedro Mendes in 1996.

A combined Rosary and Funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, March 9, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 20263 American Ave., Hilmar, CA followed by Interment at Turlock Memorial Park Mausoleum, 575 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock.
