Maria was born in Urzelina, São Jorge, Açores, to Maria Leonor Raposo and Norberto Raposo.
She was a dedicated and loyal employee at Main West Post Acute in Turlock, where she worked for 44 years. Maria was known for her quiet nature and deep love of solitude. She found comfort in her favorite television shows, including I Love Lucy, The Golden Girls, and Everybody Loves Raymond.
She had a special knack for collecting things, most notably dolls, lotions, and creams, and she especially loved treating herself to splurges at Bath & Body Works.
Maria was a loving mother, known for her strong will and quiet strength. She was stubborn in the best way and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Maria is survived by her son, Kevin Goulart; her brother, Vasco Raposo (Angie); her niece, Alexandria Raposo; and her nephew, Jared Raposo, all of Turlock, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norberto Raposo and Maria Leonor Raposo.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 West Main Street, Turlock, CA 95380. A recitation of the Rosary will follow at 7:00 PM at the same location.
A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Road, Turlock, CA 95380.
Maria will be laid to rest at Turlock Memorial Park.
