Maria Gelcemina Silveira

Mrs. Maria Gelcemina Silveira entered into rest peacefully Thursday May 26, 2016 at home in Hilmar, California surrounded by her lovely family. She was 92 years old and was a native of Fajã Grande, São Jorge, Azores. Mrs. Silveira is survived by her Sons- John A. Silveira and his wife Connie of Hilmar, Alvaro Manuel Silveira of São Jorge, Azores. Daughters- Saozinha Silveira of Casa Grande, Arizona, Maria Evangelina Fleischer and husband Michael of Turlock, Fatima Silveira Rocha and husband Bobby of Hilmar. 12 Grandchildren- Joey, Jeremy, Stacey, Julianna, Shawna, Francesca, Justin, James,

Victoria, Oliver, Joshua, Jaimee. 7 Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Maria G. Silveira is preceded in death by her husband- Antonio Carvalhal Silveira January 9, 1981. Sons-Juvenal Manuel Silveira, May 1952, Jose Arlindo Silveira January 1968, and Her Parents- João & Evangelina Silveira. Maria was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church of Turlock.

Services: Visitation- 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Service 286 W. Main St. Turlock, California.

Service Combined of Rosary & Funeral Mass-1:00 PM, Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 2206 S. Walnut Rd. Turlock, California. Mrs. Maria G. Silveira will be laid to repose at North Hilmar Cemetery District, 8710 N. Tegner Rd., Hilmar, California.
