Maria Liduartina Silveira, age 92, of Modesto, California passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019. She was born August 30, 1927 in Bandeiras, Pico, Açores to Maria do Ceu Terra and Antonio Sousa Silveira.
Liduartina is survived by: son Manuel Sousa Silveira of Livingston; son Joe Alberto Silveira (Marilyn) of Modesto; sister-in-law Rosa Faria; granddaughters Jocelyn Mendonca and Julie Sousa, great-grandchildren Matelyn Mendonca, Madison Mendonca, Joseph Mendonca, and Marlie Sousa.
Mrs. Silveira was preceded in death by her husband José Silveira in 2006 and her sisters Lauramina Nunes and Elizia Terra.
She was a dedicated parishioner of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Livingston, California and a member of the Livingston Pentecost Club and a member of the Livingston S.P.R.S.I.
A visitation for Mrs. Liduartina M. Silveira will be held from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service: 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California. A recitation of the rosary followed by a funeral mass will occur at 9:30 AM the following day on Monday, September 9, 2019 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church: 330 Franci Street, Livingston, California. She will be laid to rest after the services at Turlock Memorial Park: 575 N. Soderquist Road, Turlock, California.
Serving as pallbearers are Mathew Mendonça, Marcio Sousa, Carlos Fagundes, Julio Espinola, Deodato Medeiros, and Manuel Nunes.
