She is survived by: Two sons; John A. Vieira and his wife Maria of Modesto, Jose S. Vieira and his wife Manuela of Santa Clara. One brother, Jose Carlos Bernardo of Santa Barbara Terceira, Azores

Three sisters; Filomena B. Oliveira and Ilda Bernardo both of Santa Barbara, Terceira, Azores, Odete Melo of Canada. Six Grandchildren; Paul Vieira of Vacaville, John Vieira of Modesto, Mark Vieira of Colorado, Kristen Vieira of Modesto, Sandra Vieira and Monica Vieira both of Santa Clara.

Three Great-Grandchildren; Lucas Vieira of Capitola, Mathew Vieira of Vacaville, Isabella Vieira of Modesto, Tyler Vieira of Santa Clara.

Maria was a proud member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church of Modesto, Our Lady of Fatima of Modesto, Our Lady of Fatima Society of Thorton and Our Lady of Miracles of Gustine.

Preceded in Death by her husband Alvarino Machado Vieira,in 1976.

Services:

Visitation; 2 to 8 PM, Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 W Main St., Turlock, with Vigil and Rosary at 7:00 PM.

Funeral Mass; 9:30 AM, Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 1813 Oakdale Rd., Modesto, CA.

Burial will follow the Mass at Saint Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, 1141 Scenic Dr. Modesto, California.
