Mrs. Maria Jesus Vieira passed away peacefully Sunday December 25, 2016 in Merced, California surrounded by her family, she was 68 years old and was born in Santo Antão, Topo, São Jorge, Azores on December 16, 1948. Mrs. Vieira is survived by her husband Jose A. Nunes of Merced, Son- Jose Nunes and wife Telma of Gustine. Daughters- Cidalia Nunes & husband Ludjerio of Azores, Fatima Nunes and husband Juan Acosta of Merced. Brothers- Manuel B. Vieira of Brentwood, Jose R. Vieira of São Jorge, Azores, Sister- Maria S. Oliveira of Merced,10 Grandchildren. Maria Jesus Vieira was a devoted parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Merced, California.

Services: Visitation- Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Stratford Evans Funeral Chapel 1490 B. St., Merced, California, with Vigil & Rosary at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass- 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 519 W. 12 th St., Merced California. Mrs. Vieira will be laid to repose at Calvary Cemetery 260 W. Childs Ave., Merced, California.
