Mary Conceição Brasil, age 57, of Gustine, California passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. She was born June 26, 1961 in Calheta, São Jorge, Acores to Belmira Santos and Manuel Oliveira Brasil. She came to the United States in 1978 with her parents and lived in Gustine for close to 40 years.
Mary is survived by her sisters Maria A. Teixeira of Tulare and Maria Fatima Sousa of Gustine. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Ms. Brasil was a dedicated parishioner of Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles and a member of S.P.R.S.I. in Gustine. She worked at Perry's Pizza for over 30 years. Mary loved the Dallas Cowboys and was always in a good mood, always cracking jokes and making people laugh. Mary was loved by everyone she met and will be truly missed. For many of her dear friends, the little town of Gustine won't be the same without her.
A visitation will be held for Ms. Mary Conceição Brasil from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service: 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California. There will be a recitation of the rosary followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles: 370 Linden Avenue, Gustine, California. She will be laid to rest following the service at Hills Ferry Cemetery District: 1334 W. Stuhr Road, Newman, California.
Services for Ms. Brasil are under the care of Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service (FD504) in Turlock, California.
