She was born on February 11, 1951, in Santa Paula, California, to Lillian Stella Osuna and Jose Flores Avina. She later made her home in Turlock, California, where she built her life around her family and the things she loved.
Nancy shared a close relationship with her sons and took great pride in being their mother. She was devoted, attentive, and steady in her care, always placing her children first. Her greatest joy was taking care of her children and grandchildren, and she did so with patience and strength.
She was a talented painter who spent much of her spare time creating art. She liked to stay active and enjoyed bowling, as well as taking trips to wineries and local festivals. Whether at home or out with family, she valued time spent together.
Nancy is survived by her sons, Christopher Silva and Nicholas Silva (Christina); her sister, Patsy Avina; and her grandsons, Aaron Silva, Jason Silva, and Zayne Silva. She was preceded in death by her father, Jose Flores Avina and her mother Lillian Stella Osuna.
Nancy will be remembered for the way she showed up for her family, consistently, quietly, and without hesitation. Her sons knew they could rely on her guidance and steady presence, and her grandchildren knew they were deeply cherished. She leaves behind a family shaped by her care and strengthened by her love, and she will be missed in the everyday moments that meant the most to her.
