Nick was a longtime resident of Hilmar and was known for his intelligence, curiosity, and fun-loving nature. He had a sharp mind and a strong interest in the financial markets, which he followed closely and enjoyed investing in. Nick proudly served in the Army National Guard, an experience he valued greatly.
Nick loved life’s simple pleasures. He especially enjoyed going to the movies, with a particular fondness for science fiction films. Dining out was another favorite pastime, and Black Bear Diner held a special place as his favorite spot. Those who knew him will remember his enjoyment of good food and good conversation.
For the past four years, Nick was in a loving relationship with his partner, Ida Silveira. They were best friends who shared a deep respect and devotion to one another, and their bond brought great joy and companionship to both of their lives. Nick also cherished his close relationships with his sister and brother, as well as his niece, nephew, great-niece, and great-nephew. He remained actively involved in their lives and held his family connections close to his heart.
Nick is survived by his partner, Ida Silveira; his sister, Moura Borisova; his brother, Boris Borissoff; his niece, Chiaki Borissoff; his nephew, Tuba Borissoff; his great-niece, Tara Borissoff; and his great-nephew, Tonka Borissoff. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christina Borissoff; his father, Robert Borissoff; and his mother, Galina Pocheiv.
A graveside service will be held on January 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at North Hilmar Cemetery, located at 8710 Tegner Road, Hilmar, California 95324.
Nick will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through the lives he touched and the love he shared. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Nick’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project, his favorite charity.
