Born in Normal, Illinois, Nicholas later made his home in Hilmar, California, where he built a life defined by dedication, intelligence, and quiet kindness. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from California State University, Stanislaus, an achievement that reflected his lifelong appreciation for learning and thoughtful design.
Nicholas proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 20 years. His years of military service were marked by commitment, discipline, and honor—qualities that remained with him throughout his life.
He had a deep appreciation for architectural blueprints and design, often studying them with great interest and admiration. Nicholas also loved traveling the world, embracing new places and experiences with curiosity and enthusiasm.
He was preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Manuel Peres von Teck, his parents Raymond and Mary Mallory and his sister, Linda Barnes.
Nicholas is survived by his brother-in-law, Joe R. Peres; his sisters-in-law, Mary Machado, Olivia Kalteich, and Maria Pimentel; and his cherished dog, Cookie, who brought him loyal companionship and comfort.
Those who knew Nicholas will remember him as exceptionally kind and remarkably intelligent. His gentle spirit, sharp mind, and thoughtful presence left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
