Orlando Brasil Luis, age 57, of Hilmar, California passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018. He was born June 4, 1960 in Ribeira Seca, São Jorge, Açores.

Orlando is survived by: significant other Kathy Brooks of Hilmar; mother Maria Alcina Bettencourt of Hilmar; brother Frank Dias Brasil Luis (Orlanda Maria) of Hilmar; goddaughter Michelle Marie Wilson (Ryan Wilson).

He was a dedicated parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Turlock, California.

A visitation for Mr. Luis will be held from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service: 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California. A recitation of the rosary followed by funeral mass will occur at 11:30 AM on Monday, April 2, 2018 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church: 2602 S. Walnut Road, Turlock, California. He will be laid to rest following the services at N. Hilmar Cemetery: 8710 N. Tegner Road, Hilmar, California.
