Roger Graham Hogge, age 61, of Modesto, California passed away at Doctor's Medical Center in Modesto on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Roger was born in Santa Cruz, California to Linda Evans and Roger Graham Hogge.
Roger Graham Hogge Jr. was one of a kind. He was the most stubborn and single minded man I have ever known & although at times he could be so difficult, he was always true to his beliefs. He was the most loving and loyal person I knew. He was unwavering and although at times that could be frustrating, it was also inspiring. He didn't have or care about much in the physical world, what he cared about most was loving his family as best he could and not doing wrong to others. He loved and felt deeply to a degree rarely seen.
He was an Arborist of unparalleled skill, swinging from the trees as easy as walking. I remember as a child watching him in awe of his craft. He felt at home up in a tree swinging around like Tarzan and doing what he was good at. It was what he felt he was best able to contribute to the world, what he was a proud master of. He was a father, grandpa, brother, son, nephew, uncle and most of all he loved and was loved by his family.
Roger is survived by his son Dylan Hogge (Mackenzie) of St. Helen's, Oregon; and his daughter Jennifer Roberts (Jeremy) of Modesto, California and his sister Wendi Costa (Philip) of Eugene, Oregon. Roger also leaves behind his grandchildren Arianna Evans, Brody Evans and Sauyer Kirkwood along with his nieces Christina Napier, Lynn Van Ness and Cristy Kingsland to honor his memory.
Roger was preceded in death by his father Roger Graham Hogge and his mother Linda Evans.
A Memorial Service for Roger will be announced at a later date.
