Valorie is survived by her loving husband, Terry Carroll; her daughters Christina Carroll and Cassandra Carroll; her extended son Loren Berg; her sisters Deborah Hendrickson and Shirley Yoran; and her cherished grandchildren, Isaac Terrazas, Cade Berg, and Mara Berg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Leon Sartin and Doris Sartin, and her brother, Jefferey Sartin.
Valorie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was married to the love of her life, Terry, with whom she had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary—a milestone that reflected a lifetime of love and partnership.
Valorie had a vibrant spirit and a creative soul. She loved crafting in all forms, whether it was diamond dots, painting pots, or diving into any new artistic endeavor that caught her interest. She was always on the lookout for her next creative outlet, never afraid to try something new before moving on to her next inspiration.
She also had a playful side and a love for adventure. She enjoyed gambling, and was known to frequent Black Oak Casino and even the Chicken Ranch, always embracing the fun and excitement of those outings.
A passionate family historian, Valorie was deeply involved in genealogy and ancestry research, often sharing her knowledge and discoveries with her daughters. She was proud of her roots and loved uncovering the stories that shaped her family’s legacy.
Her dedication to community was unwavering. She was an active member of the Lions Club and proudly ran Delhi High School’s Sober Grad Program for eight years. She was also an extended member of her husband’s alma mater, attending countless meetings and events for the Livingston High School Alumni Club.
A Visitation for Valorie will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Tuesday, August 12, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 West Main, Turlock, CA 95380.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Valories name to Victory Junction Camps, The American Arthritis Association or the American Heart Association.
Valorie’s warmth, creativity, sense of humor, and generous spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
