Virginia R. Leal

Mrs. Virginia Leal passed away peacefully in the residence of her son in Jerome Idaho. She was 85 years old and was born in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. She married in Terceira, Azores Manuel Ferreira Leal in October of 1942. The couple went back to Brazil and their two sons Sergio and Luciano were born there.

In 1958 the family came to California and lived several years in Artesia, some years were passed and the family finally set in Hilmar, California.

In 2008, Mrs. Virginia Leal went to Jerome Idaho to live with her son and family.

Mrs. Leal is survived by her Son- Luciano Leal and wife Terri of Jerome Idaho. Two Grandchildren- Scott Leal and Eric Leal and a Great-Grandson Nathan Leal. One Brother- Henrique Labandeira and wife Maria of Artesia, a Godchild and Niece- Lidia Ezequiel Ferreira, Nephew- Joe Valadão and his wife Yvonne, and several nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Virginia Leal was Preceded in Death by her Husband- Manuel Ferreira Leal, Son- Sergio Leal, Parents- Antonio & Conceição Labandeira, Brother- Antonique and a Sister- Elvira. She also was a Parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Hilmar.

The Rosary on her memory was recited Tuesday April 14, 2015 in Jerome, ID. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 20263 American Ave., Hilmar. Mrs.

Virginia Leal will be laid to rest at North Hilmar Cemetery District, 8710 Tegner Ave., Hilmar, CA.
