

Alan Boyd, age 62, of Panama City Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, September 26, 2025. He was born on September 14, 1963, in Birmingham, Alabama. A Celebration of Life will be held at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, located at 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, AL, 35405. The gathering is scheduled for November 1, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Alan is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Rose, their children, Jessica, Joseph, Megan Hanes (Chris), Mysti Maddox and Michael Moseley. He is also survived by his parents, Dick and Jane; siblings, Bret (Mimi), Chad (Tracy) and Lexa Turner (Don), as well as his cherished grandchildren: Byron Weatherford, Cortlin Jackson, Jacob, Waylon, Caroline Hanes, Harper Hanes, Brody Evans (Audrey), Brandon Evans (Hannah Butler), Bayleigh Smith (Ethan), along with many beloved great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Alan was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Damon.
Alan dedicated 22 years of service to Johnson Controls, where he was valued for his work ethic and expertise. Outside of work, he was passionate about his Mustang, enjoyed Alabama football, and had a deep love for the beach life. He touched many lives with his wealth of knowledge, always willing to lend a hand or share his insight.
Known for his jovial nature, Alan possessed an innate ability to genuinely connect with those around him, effortlessly making people feel at ease. He will be remembered for his quick wit, love of family, loyalty to friends and soft spot for his Boxer pups. He was a devoted husband, father and friend, and could always be counted on to bring laughter, liveliness and bourbon wherever he went.
Rest in peace, Bubba/Daddy/Granddaddy/Alan. You are deeply missed, and your legacy of imparting wisdom and providing guidance is remembered as much as your ability to bring a smile to every room.
