Albert Billings Jr.

Albert Marion Billings Jr., age 83, of Northport, joined his wife and parents with the Lord on May 16, 2025. Proceeding him in death was his wife of 35 years Linda Billings, parents Albert Marion Billings Sr. and Trudie E. Billings, brother-in-law Alan Knight, and step-sons, Ted and Mike Smith.

Survivors include his son, Trae Albert Marion Billings III (Amy); brother, Joe Doug Billings (Sybel), sister, Mary Anne Knight; grandchildren Kelsie and Dylan Edwards, Jacob and Katie Billings, Kristin and Will Johns, Kinsey Fikes, and Jared Fikes; two great-grandsons, Charlie Edwards and Noah Billings; multiple nieces and nephews; cousins and friends, and his last white poodle Finn.

Albert Jr., Bubba to many, and Pop to his grandchildren was born on June 12, 1941 in Tuscaloosa and graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School in 1959. His love of the Lord, family and being outdoors was clearly shown throughout his life. He served as music minister for most of his years at church's throughout Tuscaloosa and Walker County. Besides his love for people and taking care of family, music, working with cows and working the land were his passions. At an early age his love for family was demonstrated when he swapped show calves with his brother because the animal was too energetic for his younger brother and then that calf went on to win Grand Champion of the show. Many days you would find him on the tractor preparing his garden or cleaning up the area and if not the tractor his Dixie Chopper keeping his yard in pristine condition. On other days he would be working with the classic cars that he loved. We find comfort in knowing that the Lord allowed him to do the things he loved in his last days here on earth.

Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. Followed by a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. at Memory Hill Gardens with our friend Tobey Eads officiating. Pallbearers will be David Baughman, Jon Billings, Dylan Edwards, Kevin Hannah, Will Johns and Jessie Lyles.
