Albert Arthur Hubbard, age 88, of Vance, died Sunday, April 17, 2011, at the VA Medical Center. A celebration of life service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. J.W. Kornegay and Glenn Holemon officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Battles Hubbard, and his son, James Cary Hubbard.
Survivors include his two daughters, Judy Barnard and Teresa Simmons (Larry Burchfield), both of Vance; four grandchildren, Ben Burchfield, Dana Roy (Phil), Grant Simmons, and Kaylian Hubbard; one great-grandchild, Kylee Grace Roy; two brothers, Bill Hubbard (Carolyn) and David Hubbard (Polly); one sister, Sarah Bell; and special friends and caregivers, Shannon Yeager and Shirley Greathouse.
Pallbearers will be Grant Simmons, Phil Roy, Larry Simmons, Mike Sanders, Jeff Yeager, and Donnie Keene.
