Ann grew up in Amory, Mississippi, where she attended Amory High School as the first female drum major. Later, she attended nursing school at St. Joseph's in Memphis, TN, which led to a 30-year career in real estate, which she loved dearly. She was also a member of the Good Samaritan Sunday school class at First Baptist Church.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Frank F. Magers and Josephine Bauer Magers; husband, Jack L. Engelhart; daughter, Mary Virginia Ramsey; son, Earl A. Ramsey Jr.; step-son, Keith Engelhart.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Jones; sisters, Mary Jo Anderson and Virginia Evens Magers; step-daughter, Susan Engelhart (Jeff Day); grandchildren, Earl "Carson" Ramsey III (Hanah); Erica Ramsey Loggins (Jacob), Aly Shim (Vinsant); great-grandchild, Naomi Gray Ramsey.
