Barbara M. Reeder, 86, passed away peacefully at DCH RMC on May 24, 2026. Visitation will be Friday May 29, 2026 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home at 1PM. Memorial services will follow at 2PM with Rev. Gary Ward officiating. A loving mother, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, James Reeder, Jr, her mother, Mildred McClusky, her father, D.O. McClusky, Jr., and her sister, JoEllen McClusky Sneed. Barbara was born in Birmingham, AL. She is survived by her 3 children, James W. Reeder,III (Dolores), Laura Reeder Jones, and Andy Reeder (Heather); her 3 grandchildren, Michael James Reeder, Matthew Landon Jones, and Lacey Camille Jones (Wesley); her great granddaughter, Maya Grace Velasquez Raymundo; her brothers Dan McClusky, and David McClusky; and many other loving family members and friends. She was born in Birmingham, AL, and graduated from The University of Alabama. She loved Bama football, traveling (especially the beach), painting, and spending time with family. I She would always reach out to help anyone that needed support. She was a great teacher of life and values to her children, grandchildren and influenced many people in a positive way with her nurturing way and love. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association, or the American Breast Cancer Foundation.
