TUSCALOOSA – Benny Jordon Ramey, Jr., age 70, passed away February 13, 2022 at his home. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to services at the funeral home.
Mr. Ramey was preceded in death by his parents, Jewel and Benny Ramey, Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Brenda Thomas Ramey; daughter, Alison Crider; son, Matthew Ramey; sister, Connie Ramey Key (Richard); special cousins, Troy Free and Joe Free; and special canine companion, Sam.
Ben attended Tuscaloosa High School as the class of 1969 and graduated from Marion Military Institute. He spent most of his life in hardware sales, spanning many years from a beginning as owner of Forest Lake Hardware and later at Lowe's. He was a member of the Tuscaloosa Homebuilders Association where he made many friends.
