

Through years of steady dedication, Betsy built a life marked by diligence and responsibility, retiring from the Alabama Highway Department after a career defined by consistent hard work and commitment.
Betsy was also known for the warmth she inspired in others and the place she held in the hearts of those around her. A huge Elvis Presley fan, she found joy in the music she loved, a simple pleasure that brought brightness to her days and connected her to others who shared it.
Betsy was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Porter. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Tommy C. Porter; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, 5200 Old Birmingham Highway, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35404, on May 23, 2026, at 12:00 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations on May 23, 2026, at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park.
