Billy Wayne Bradford, a cherished and humorous soul, went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on February 24, 1941, Billy was a long-time resident of Centerville before settling in Cottondale, Alabama. Known for his playful spirit, he brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.
Billy took over his father's contract painting business, where his dedication and hard work left a lasting impact. Outside of work, he was a passionate fan of Alabama Football, always cheering "roll tide," and he had a great love for BBQ, which he enjoyed sharing with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Trannie Bradford, his sisters Mildred Dawson, Kathleen Franklin, Glenda LeVert, and Wanda Creel, and his parents, WW and Leila Bradford. He is survived by his son, Gregory Bradford, who carries on his legacy as well as a plethora of neices and nephews.
A visitation will be held on January 11, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, located at 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405. The funeral service will follow from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm, with a committal service from 2:45 pm to 3:00 pm at the same location.
Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Smith, Creak Kaiser, Conner Mullinax, Cassidy Kaiser, Josh Coch, and Tyler Pennly.
Billy's life was a testament to the power of humor and love, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
