We got the shocking news about Billy's passing from TUARA when we came back from Taiwan.  Mary and I have fond memories of Billy, Sally and their daughters.  Billy touched me as a great scholar, colleague and friend during my 20 years at EC/FI/LGS.  Our prayers are with the Helms.

We are very shocked and saddened by this news.  He was a guiding light for our son Nick.  He will be missed.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Billy, Sally and family.

I was so saddened to hear of Billy's passing. I remember him so well as a fine colleague and caring person, always so pleasant and friendly. Some of my most cherished moments came while playing against him on the faculty softball fields. What a competitor while never changing his demeanor as a good person and a real gentle man.
