Billy Wayne Mansfield, age 77, of Cottondale, died March 13, 2015, at home. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at Memory Hill Gardens with Bro. Ray Hallman officiating and Memory Chapel, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. He was preceded in death by his parents, C.E. and Zeal Mansfield, and daughter-in-law, Lisa Roberts Mansfield.Survivors include his wife, Nancy Mansfield; daughter, Cheryl Ryan (David); son, Kenneth Mansfield (Risa); sister, Wilda Halcomb; mother-in-law, Maxine Fish; grandchildren, Christy Evans, Wes Mansfield (Jamie), Davy Ryan (Jessica), Sonya Mansfield, and Jody Pace; and great-grandchildren, Hunter Sullivan, Zach Pate, Drake Mansfield, and Jessa Ryan. He served in the United States Navy, worked for Gulf States Paper, and retired from Jim Walter Mine #4. He was a great husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather.Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Atkins and Bobby Christian.
