A Graveside Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Memory Hill Gardens with Bro. Gene Dockery officiating.
Carl was a man who will be remembered for his steady presence, strong work ethic, and love for his family. Through life’s ups and downs, he remained deeply connected to those closest to him, and that love never wavered.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pat Davis and Gale Davis.
Carl is survived by his daughter, Lauren Davis; his brothers, Chris Davis (Pam), Hugh Davis; and his nieces and nephew, Brooke Beck (Blake), Andrew, Kiersten, and Lindsey.
Throughout his life, Carl was known for his dedication and hard work. He graduated from Tuscaloosa High School in 1979. He spent many years as a salesman at Lightning Plus before later starting a pool business, Alabama Poolcrafters, with a friend. Even after retiring, Carl continued to stay active, working at Ace Hardware on Highway 69 South, where he enjoyed connecting with people and staying busy.
Carl was cared for in his final days by Amedisys Hospice, whose compassion and support brought comfort to him and his family.
Honorary pallbearers include the employees of Ace Hardware on Highway 69 South and the staff of Amedisys Hospice, whose kindness and care were deeply appreciated.
Carl’s life was marked not only by the roles he held but by the quiet moments, the memories shared, and the impact he made on the people who knew and loved him.
He is now at peace, free from pain, and forever held in the hearts of those who love him.
The family would like to thank everyone who offered prayers, support, and kindness during this time. Your love has meant more than words can express.
Please send flowers to Memory Chapel Funeral Home.
