Chuck, I’ll miss you.  We never really did much after high school in band, but I could always count on you to keep my business payroll running smoothly.  I absolutely regret we never took each other up on the “we should all get dinner sometime” remarks whenever I would stop by.  You were a reliably sarcastic, overall wonderful person who will be missed.  Peace be with you my friend.

I only had the pleasure of knowing chuck for a month while he was training me at work.  His personally was so unique.  He was like a magnet that you are just drawn too like bees to honey.  I was learning his dry and quick witted humor as well as his soft sides. And his attraction to classical music, his love for kitty cats and how much he loved his family.  He shared pics with me of his mother,  his father,  his grandfather,  and more that I may have forgotten.  He was dedicated to his work and loyal to everyone in the short time that I knew him,  working side by side with him until the end.    I have missed him in so many different ways....I can't imagine the pain of those that knew him for so long.  He spoke to me about growing up in the Church of God... which warns my heart.  That was the least day I saw him.  I only wish I would have adopted his black kitty he wanted me to have so bad.  He even made a video to encourage me and I waited too long to make a decision.  REST IN PEACE,  MY FRIEND!

Chuck was a great man. He loved his mother to the moon and back! I know he will be missed and always in the hearts of everyone he knew. 

I’m so sorry to hear about Chuck’s passing. He was always such a funny guy who will be missed. Please find peace in knowing he was loved by many. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of y’all during this difficult time. April Mills Woodall

It’s still hard to believe your gone friend . I remember meeting you in band at Northport Junior High and we both playing the saxophone and u telling me I’m going to be better !! Well my friend you where right you were awesome !! We reconnected not to long ago we you done my taxes and you were the same person willing to help a friend out !! You had a big heart , yes you could be sarcastic but that made you !! Gonna miss you and thanks for shoulder to lean last year too !! Rest easy now with yourDad !!

I have known Chuck since Crestmont Elementary School. Although we haven't talked in years I will always remember the moments we did share over the years. I pray the family is able to find peace in the wake of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

You are and always will be my" Chucklet" from the day you were born I couldn't wait to get you in my arms, I would give anything to have you there now.  You were a little clown, oh so curious! You made us smile, made us roll our eyes more times than can be counted.  You were a good man, caring, loving, giving.  I was so proud of you. I know you are at peace, no more sadness.  I will miss you so very much.  I love you like you were mine.  So you keep watch over us...ok.. till we get to see you again.

I have so many fond memories of you, Chuck. I loved your spirit, sense of humor, and uniqueness. I think I felt more comfortable with myself in middle and high school due in large part to you.  You saw me for me, idiosyncrasies and all...and loved me still. Over the last few days I’ve enjoyed re-reading all the letters I kept that we used to mail each other back in mid 90s. Dumb kid stuff but even then, you were so consistent with your contact and friendship. I moved away to Kentucky and you were one of the few who I kept in contact with.   I wish I had done better. To know Chuck was to love Chuck. He was part of many of my childhood/teenage memories. Always good, most of them funny, but always genuine Chuck. He  was always willing to reach out and share something that would make you smile especially when it was the hardest to do. My heart hurts for his family and loved ones. I have no words that can express how I feel right now. Chuck was my friend for 22 years, we shared more memories than I can count. I cannot fathom the pain his family is feeling. To know Chuck was to love him. He could always make you smile with his goofy jokes. He was my friend. He will be missed. I wish this wasn’t true. I wish you were still with us. Love you (oh but no, oh but see, oh but wait. Atsa tsa tsa tsa😔)

My heart is broken, I will miss you so much! Last time I saw you in person you gave me a hard time for having a box of cookies and forgetting to offer you any! I was so embarrassed, but you just laughed! Thank you for all the wonderful band memories and for encouraging me during my battle with cancer! Love you so much, you have always been and always will be one of my "band babies".

I feel like I can't come up with the right words to express myself, but I will do my best.  I have so many fond memories of our time in high school and our most recent conversations just a few weeks ago.  If I would have known it would have been our last conversation, I would have held on to that conversation just a little longer. Chuck, you left a lasting impact on so many lives.  You were loved and will always be loved by so many of us left on this earth.  It was an honor knowing you and I will always cherish our friendship. I won't ever forget our trips to Disney, band bus rides, and looking out on the field and seeing you flip me off.  You were one in a million and I am so grateful for knowing you.  I love you lots dear friend!

When I found out about your passing all I could say was No!!! My daughter looked at me and asked me with big eyes what was wrong?! I looked at her with tears in my eyes and told her a good friend passed away, a good friend that helped me out more than he will ever know back in 2014 for sure when I went to him to do my taxes and he found out I had been taken advantage of and he took care of that for me. That day was a terrible life changing day as it was already with home life but Chuck you made sure one way or another you were going to help me smile before I left your office. Chuck you have a heart of gold and always did. I remember back in Mr. Bonner’s class at Northport Junior High School you did not want to be there so you decided to fake pink eye by rubbing your eyes for a long time lol! You asked me if they looked pink or something like that and I told you ummm no they looked red and I did not think they would let you go home for Red Eye! You got mad at me and rolled your red eyes! All I could do was chuckle! I just hate after high school everyone went their own way which I know is how life is but I am glad we came back in each other’s paths in 2014. I hope you are at peace and just know friend you are surely missed already! Love ya always Chucklet, Lynnie!

I just don't have the words to express what I'm feeling right now. Nothing I have typed seems like the right thing to say. So I'll leave it with this memory.

I'll never forget the first time you took me to Maggie Valley. It had rained the entire trip and we never got to see a good sunset. Well, the last night we were there, you were able to sneak us away from our other friends to try and get a look since it had stopped raining. We stopped at an overlook off the Blue Ridge Parkway and we saw the most incredibly brilliant, colorful sunset. Just the two of us. That was the moment I fell in love with you and I will never forget it as long as I live. 

I hope you're looking down on us and protecting us all. Knowing you are reunited with your dad again brings me just a little bit of peace. 

I didn't know that when I saw you on Sunday night that it would be the last time. Maybe you just wanted it to be like all the other times and feel like any other normal night we would hang out. When you left, you hugged me extra tight and for extra long. I gave you some back scratches like how you always loved and then you left. I wish I had said goodbye. I wish I had told you I loved you one last time. 

I don't think I'm ever going to get over this. A part of me left with you. I will always love you, boo.

Words fail me st this time. So many memories of all of our time together, growing up. Some of my favorites, I keep playing over, are sitting in grandma and grandpas sun room listening to you play your saxophone. You were so very talented. I remember wanting to play an Instrument after watching you do it. I could have watched you thumb through your sheets of music picking songs to play for hours. 
Do you remember flipping your eyelids inside out then chasing me around the house? You loved tormenting me. I remember being so lucky to get to go out with you and your mom while visiting in Alabama. We ate at the Cypress Inn, then we went to the mall together. I felt so special because I was the only one who got to go. We had a special bond because we were the closest in age. 
Another of my favorite memories, was the time you got your license and picked me up in the “hoopty” and we went cruising, music blaring. You took me to downtown Tuscaloosa and showed me around the university. You bought me my first java mocha shake. But I think my most favorite memories are the memories I have of you with my kids. Abbie and Ryan loved you so. They would get so excited every time they found out they were going to get to see you. You made them feel like they were the most special people in the world, because that’s just who you were.  I really just need you back here. Please keep watch over all of us. I pray that you were greeted with a loving embrace and that you have found peace. XO
