

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lowell E. Schoenherr; parents, John T. and Arlene Cork; brother-in-law, Claude Harris Jr.
She is survived by her pet, Max; daughters, Diedra Dolejs (Bob) and Debra Chism (David); sons, David Butler (Dawn Ann); sisters, Barbara Harris and Susan Muchia (Sam); grandchildren, Travis Dolejs (Sally), Monika Dyrek (Greg), Garrett Butler, Daniel Chism, John Adam Chism, Jackson and Margaret Butler.
Carolyn was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, AL. She was a legal secretary and worked for various law firms around town. She was a member of St. Mark UMC where she volunteered and served on several committees and was a member of the "who so ever" Sunday school class. She was a member of The Garden Club and The Corvette Club. She enjoyed working in the yard, growing her roses, making rugs, baking for her neighbors and pampering her dog Max.
Pallbearers are Travis Dolejs, Garrett Butler, Daniel Chism, John Chism, David Chism, and Jeff Harris.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Arti Pandey, Dr. Anand Pandey, and the Pandey Family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks if you can send donations to The Humane Society.
There will be lunch provided at Carolyn's home prior to the visitation and funeral service on Wednesday.
A visitation for Carolyn will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35405. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 3:00 PM, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35405. A burial will occur Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 3:30 PM at Memory Hill Gardens, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35405.
