

December 11, 2020 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Reverend James Wilson and Reverend Jimmy Boone officiating with burial to follow at Memory Hill Gardens. Visitation will take place from 1:00pm - 3:00pm two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Memory Chapel of Tuscaloosa, a Dignity provider, is honored to be entrusted with final arrangements.
Catherine Elizabeth (Beth) Anderson was born July, 15, 1978, in Birmingham, Alabama. Her family moved to Tuscaloosa in 1982 where Beth would benefit from special education services due to a diagnosis of Angelman’s Syndrome. Beth enjoyed celebrating holidays and birthdays with her family and friends. Every fall was full of Alabama Football, Halloween and camping at Tannehill with numerous camping favorites and her dogs. Beth always excelled and enjoyed Special Olympics. Over the years, she participated in Bowling, Swimming, Equestrian and Track and Field. Beth was honored to deliver the first pitch at the University of Alabama vs. Troy Softball Game in April 2015. The ball she threw crossed the home plate and she received a standing ovation from her fans.
Beth’s beautiful smile and positive spirit drew people to her everywhere she went. She touched countless lives during her 42 years and she was adored by everyone who knew her. Her faith and love of Jesus was evident and she is leaving this world to an everlasting home in Heaven. She will be sorely missed by her parents, family and many, many friends. She was truly an angel on this earth.
Beth’s grandparents, Bill and Nell Sanford, Obie Anderson and Mary Lou Anderson; aunts, Anna Lou Heatherly and Jackie Anderson Quinn, preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving parents John and Debbie Anderson of Tuscaloosa; aunt and uncle Kim and Bobby Vining and their children Nicholas Vining, Anna Nicole Vining, Ella Catherine Vining all of Goodsprings ; aunt, Bobbie Olvey of Toadvine; and a host of cousins who were near and dear to Beth.
Serving as Active Pallbearers will be: Nicholas Vining, Bruce Prescott, Chuck Gills, Phillip Horton, Tyler Rogers, Justin Webb and Mark Olvey.
