Cecil Bonner

H. Cecil Bonner, age 87, of Tuscaloosa, died Nov. 23, 2011, at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Rev. Gene Dockery officiating and Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Orlean C. Bonner; his mother, Irene Bonner; his father, Horace Bonner; his sisters, Lucy Campbell and Annie Laura Savage; and his loving grandson, Richard "Rich" Henderson.

Survivors include his son, Cecil Bonner, Jr. (Elouise); his daughter, Linda Bonner; his sister, Martha Falls (Bill); his grandchildren, Jeb Bonner (Kelly), Craig Henderson (Katie), and Nikie Bonner Elliott; and his great-grandchildren, Avery and Allie Rae Elliott, Liam Henderson, and Ty Bonner.

Mr. Bonner owned and operated Cecil Bonner Body Shop, as well as partnered Charlie Brown Playland with his wife of 58 years, Orlean.

Honorary pallbearers are Doug Hollyhand, past and present employees of Bonner Body Shop, past and present employees of the Waysider Restaurant, past employees of Charlie Brown Playland, and loving and caring employees of Caring Days, Glen Haven Nursing Home Magnolia Lane Wing, and Hospice of West Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Caring Days Adult Day Care or Hospice of West Alabama.
