On December 26, 2018, Charlie completed his work, finished his race, and received his reward in the arms of Jesus. He was devoted to his family, and spent his life in tireless, loving service to make sure no need went unmet. Charlie was an exemplary husband to his wife of 35 years, Alline, whom he loved dearly. Charlie was an incredible dad to his five children Kimberly, Tina, Tonya, Bradley, and Calaine. He was never happier than when he was surrounded by his grandchildren, whom he adored, Maison, Hunter, Chase, Rebecca, Andrew, Carly, Caedmon, Owen, Charlotte, Jay and Oliver. Charlie loved his Lord first and foremost, and that love overflowed into the amazing love he had for his family. The third great love of his life was definitely Alabama football, and he enjoyed having people over to watch the games (so long as they did not mess with his remote). Charlie was an incredibly hard worker, and, though his business started from nothing, he became one of the most sought after cabinet builders in Tuscaloosa. He was known by many for his selfless acts of love and service for others. He faithfully visited people in the hospital and gave of his time, talents and resources without any thought of himself or want of recognition. In these ways, and countless others, Charlie has left an enduring legacy of a life lived in quiet, faithful obedience to Jesus.
"Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.' 'Blessed indeed, says the Spirit, 'that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!" Revelation 14:13.
