Charles Lindley Hedrick, Sr., age 81, of Buhl, died December 11, 2015, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Dan Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Monday, December 14, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Geannie H. Hedrick; brothers, James Hedrick Sr. and Ed Hedrick; and parents, Bert and Annie Hedrick.Survivors include his sons, Charles Lee Hedrick (Malinda) and Charles Lindley Hedrick, Jr.; sister, Billie Hannah (Grady); brothers, Bert Hedrick (Audrey) and Tommy Hedrick (Jane); grandchildren, Lee Hedrick, Andrew Hedrick, Le Anne Hedrick, Seth Hedrick, Dalton Hedrick, Clint Hevelston, Ernest M. Powell, Shanon N. Dowdle, Nicholas S. Dowdle; and two great-grandkids.Daddy loved hunting and fishing, all of his animals, and proudly served his country in the United States Army and served in the Alabama National Guard stationed in Germany. He loved people and never met a stranger, loved the Lord and was a member of Lord of Harvest Church. You will be greatly missed especially his humor.Pallbearers will be Seth Hedrick, Dalton Hedrick, Wade Duncan, Danny Johnson, Frank Hannah and Jeff Hedrick.Honorary pallbearers are members of the Alabama National Guard, MICU, DCH Regional Medical Hospital, Dr. Warren Holley, John WIlkins Jr., Alacare, Mary Anne Williams of Alacare.
