Christopher "Chris" Rand Lockhart age 53, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama passed away on September 22, 2026. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on October 10, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens.
Chris was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Ray Lockhart; beloved fur babies and loving companions, Diva and Zack; father-in-law, James "Jimmy" Amory Ashcraft; grandparents, Joyce and DeeDee Lockhart, Joe and Sara Masters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Amy Victoria Ashcraft Lockhart; fur babies and loving companions, Lila, Merkle, Canan, Jewel and Sterling; sons, Justin Lockhart (Jessie), Austin Lacey (Melissa), Austin Ashcraft (Madison), Kade Lockhart (Caylee); grandchildren, Jayce Lockhart, JT Ashcraft; special friend/ "Sister from Another Mother", Amy Ryan; mother, Pam Frechette; mother and father-in-law, Charlene (Frith) and Larry Parker; mother-in-law, Denise Ashcraft; step mother, Kay Lockhart; extended family, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and coworkers.
Chris Lockhart was born July 8, 1973, in Dallas, Georgia, was raised in Albertville, Alabama and as an adult moved to Tuscaloosa County where he resided in Brookwood before moving to Tuscaloosa.
In 2009, Chris met the love of his life, his constant companion and best friend, Amy Victoria Ashcraft, and on May 15, 2012, the two of them exchanged wedding vows on the sandy white beaches in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Chris had a profound, passionate, and supreme affection for both dogs and sea turtles.
