I was so, so saddened when I heard about the passing of Mr. Ingram. I worked with him at CarQuest Auto Parts for about 2 years. He was such a sweet, kind, and gentle soul. I always looked forward to the little political chats and debates he and I would have. I have a fond memory of Mr. Ingram (while I was at CQ) of him always making a cellphone call around lunchtime to Mrs. Ingram. I hope this isn't too personal, but he could always be overheard ending the call with "bye, love you, babe". Or something similar. I could always tell how much he adored his loving wife, his children, and grandchildren. It's hard to believe that both Smiley and Clarence from CQ are no longer with us. They were always talking football. I'd like to think that they're somewhere together talking sports, mostly the Crimson Tide. I don't know the Ingram family personally, but please know that my heart aches for you at this time. You're all in my thoughts.

So sorry for your loss. I worked with Sonnye at the old Eastside post office back in the late 70's. I was a PTF carrier and ran his route ofter. Back in those days Tom Thompson was our boss. I remember Sonnye stoping at the donut shop across the street to pick up donuts for us. Being a new carrier Sonnye always took time to show me how to do the job right.
